Biolab Sommerfest 2019

Das Biolab-Team feierte am 14. Juni ein stimmungsvolles Sommerfest.

Unter den „Betriebsplatanen“ wurde bei bestem Wetter, Zauberei und Live Musik bis in die späten Abendstunden nicht nur fachlich angeregt diskutiert.

Eindeutiges Fazit des Abends: Sommerfest wird Pflichttermin 2020!

Another new member joins the SEM-section!

In the beginning of May Biolab Umweltanalysen GmbH setups the fourth SEM to face the growing demand for quick and high qualitative asbestos analyses.

It is a Phenom XL desktop scanning electron microscope by the manufacturer Phenom World. The SEM is the fourth generation with the newest type of secondary electron and EDX detector.

It is equipped with a big sample chamber (up to 36 samples), a fast sample change procedure and it is also build for mobile use if required.

BIOLAB passes round robin test for drinking water!

The Drinking Water department of BIOLAB Umweltanalysen GmbH has successfully participated in the volatile halogenated hydrocarbons (VHH)/benzene round robin test of the Institute for Hygiene and Environment of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

BIOLAB counts on solar energy

The installation of a 2,000 m² roof-parallel photovoltaic system has begun on the roofs of BIOLAB Umweltanalysen GmbH.

After commissioning of the 284 kWp (253 MWh/a) plant in the spring of 2019, BIOLAB will be able to generate most of its electricity on its own premises. This will save the environment 151,963 kg of CO2 emissions per year.
