BIOLAB runs at the company run 2022
Congratulations to Team BIOLAB of this year's company run in Braunschweig's Bürgerpark.
With lively enthusiasm and motivation and wearing sustainably produced T-shirts from RE-ATHLETE, 20 runners from BIOLAB Umweltanalysen GmbH were ready to give their best and conquered the running distance of 4.7 km with bravura.
A big thank you goes out to the numerous helpers - without their cheering and providing before and after the race it would have been only half as nice and successful.
BIOLAB at the analytica 2022
On June 22 and 23, 2022, a six-member BIOLAB team visited analytica, the renowned world's leading trade fair for laboratory technology, analytics and biotechnology in Munich.
In the five exhibition halls, nearly 900 exhibitors from 39 countries presented their products and services and were available to the approximately 26,000 visitors from 114 countries for technical discussions and a targeted exchange of information.
The BIOLAB team was able to gather inspiration and establish contacts with well-known equipment manufacturers through various discussions and presentations. One focus was to find new ideas and suggestions for the "Substitute Building Materials and Soil Protection Umbrella Ordinance", which will come into force next year.
Other interesting topics for the BIOLAB team were digitalization, laboratory optimization and occupational safety concepts.

Sampling with foresight
Thanks to Saint Peter, we examined St. Jakobi Church in the old town of Goslar under bright blue skies.
With the help of a cherry picker provided by the Steinwedel company, we took building material samples at otherwise rather inaccessible heights at the historic church building.
Science meets practice in the analysis of organochlorine pesticides
Sabrina Diniz, our working student from Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences, successfully defended her bachelor thesis on 16.03.2022 with the topic: "Method optimisation and validation for the detection of selected organochlorine pesticides using GC".
With the help of a new temperature programme and an adapted liner temperature, the separation of organochlorine pesticides on the GC/MS system used was significantly improved.
The work was technically supervised by university professor Dr. Peter Britz and our laboratory manager Dr. Heino Göckemeyer. Sabrina joined us in the spring of 2021 to complete her practical semester and will subsequently work as a motivated and competent working student in the field of gas chromatography.
Your colleagues at BIOLAB Umweltanalysen GmbH wish you all the best and continued success with your Master's degree!
